History of Microfibre

When Was Microfibre Invented?
1950s–1960s:Scientists in the United States and Japan first began experimenting with ultra-fine synthetic fibres. However, the early versions weren’t soft or absorbent enough for cleaning they were mainly used for clothing and industrial applications. 1970s:Japanese textile engineers developed the first true microfibre filaments that were fine, durable, and smooth enough for practical use. 1980s (Sweden & Japan):The technology improved dramatically when fibres were split during manufacturing to create tiny channels. This structure made the fabric highly absorbent, static charged, and excellent at picking up dust and bacteria.
